Greetings Brothers,
As we head toward the end of 2010 we also approach Christmas. Knights of Columbus are active in promoting the “Keep Christ in Christmas” initiative. It's not just a term. It's a very important concept. As Christians, we are asked to remember that the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour is the reason for the season. We are asked to abandon the use of the abbreviation, “Xmas”. It takes no effort to spell out the full name of the event instead of the “slang” term.
I want to take this opportunity to wish all the best to you and your families for the upcoming Christmas season, and if you should be travelling, I wish you safe travels.
Vivat Jesus
Al Girard,
Grand Knight
