We are now
in our season of Lent. Forty days of fasting, repentance and reflection. What
have we done to honor God? What have we done to help our fellow man? Have we
been going through the motions or have we stepped outside our comfort zone to
help someone? Don’t think of Easter Sunday as the finish line, use this season
of Lent to reflect upon your life, make sacrifices and let it set the tone for
your actions for the rest of the year.
We, the
Knights of Columbus, pray for Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. We also pray for the
Cardinals and trust in God to guide them in choosing a successor. This is an
exciting time in our church that has not occurred since Pope Gregory XII
resigned in 1415.
Thank you
to all the Brother Knights and their families who put on a fabulous pasta
night, a true reflection of what Knights of Columbus is all about.
I also want
to thank all the brother Knights and their families who participated in the
Stations of the Cross March 1st. We will also need Brothers to
assist as an Adult Server, Readers and Extraordinary Ministers with the Mass
before our meeting March 12, 2013. Please assist in any of these roles if
you can.
Happy Easter Brother Knights and your Families.
