Welcome back Brother Knights. I hope you and your families enjoyed a safe summer.

Brothers, it is with great pleasure that I report to you on two significant items that occurred this summer. The first is that Father Andrew Bogdanowicz has accepted the position of council Chaplain. He will be at our September general meeting, please attend to welcome Father Andrew to the council.

The second item is that Brother Andrew Tarnowski is very close to completing fundraising for the ultrasound machine for the Edmonton Pregnancy Crisis Centre. The impact of an ultrasound machine is truly lifesaving. The centres that employ ultrasounds in the United States report that greater than 90% of the women that view the unborn child decide to keep the child. Contrast this with 40% without an ultrasound. Brother Andrew along with your contributions will save lives. He is $3,000 away from his approximately $17,500 goal. Please pray for the quick conclusion of his campaign to save lives as soon as possible.

I would like to inform you of a change in positions on the council executive. I will step down as Grand Knight this month for personal reasons. Brother Al Girard will take on the position subject to an election. We will hold the election at the September Meeting. We require a brave Brother Knight to be Deputy Grand Knight. Please step forward to serve your council.
