Brothers;

Welcome to 3 new members to our Council who received their First Degree on May 25th:

Daniel ZHAO, Ferdinand DEQUINA, and Alfredo ABURTO.

We encourage you new Brothers to continue on your journey to full Knighthood by receiving the Second and Third Degrees on May 31st, as well as any other Brother who has not acquired the Second and Third Degree

Pancake Breakfast:

Attendance was very good again.  Thanks to Brother Paolo Festa-Bianchet and Hilda for organizing the volunteers and purchasing the groceries. When we get good attendance, it makes the effort worthwhile.

Marian Mass:

This beautiful celebration was held on May 5th. Thanks to Bro. Deogratius Rweyongeza for organizing the event. Thanks very much also to Fr. Andrew for the wonderful celebration in honour of Our Mother Mary. The school children enhanced the celebration tremendously.

Council Executive: Elections were held at the May meeting. A list of the executive is included in this newsletter. Thank you to our Brothers who are generous with their time to allow their names to stand for office,  and CONGRATULATIONS to you!

Financial Secretary:

We are fortunate to have Bro. Scaria Antony volunteer to accept this position. His name has been recommended to Supreme Office for appointment. Thank you Brother Scaria!

Installation of Officers & Awards Night:

This is scheduled for Saturday, June 7th. Mass at 5:00 PM followed by the installation and BBQ dinner. Dinner is $20.00. Please plan to attend and enjoy some wonderful fraternity.

Grand Knight:

Congratulations to Bro. Jeremy Sit who will assume this position on July 1st. Thank you, Bro. Jeremy!

Columbus Club:

A meeting is scheduled for June 9 at 7:00 PM to disperse the charitable funds. A recommendation is likely to be made as to whether to continue the club.

Grocery Cards:

Preparations are continuing to get this program initiated. This will see Brothers selling grocery cards to raise funds for the church and the Council. Cards would be available for purchase at our Masses.

I thank my Brothers whole-heartedly for the support I have received during my tenure in this office!
