Greetings Brothers,We are now well into Lent,
and March will be a busy time for our Council. From March 5th to 17th,
we will be manning the ticket booths at Bonnie Doon Shopping Center and
Southgate Mall as we conclude our campaign. We are attempting to set a record
for ticket sales for Alberta/NWT. However many books we sell when it's all said
and done, our Council should be at or near the top in State. Thanks to everyone
who has helped in this campaign.
I want to make special
mention of the ladies who have done so much to help our events be so
successful. The Seniors' Social, Family Pasta Night and Dance, and the Pancake
Breakfasts would not have happened without the ladies,
and we want them to know how much they are appreciated. It's another example of
how the Knights of Columbus is a family organization.
We will be conducting our
spring membership drive on the weekend of March 16 and 17. If you can help on
those days before and after Masses, please call our Worthy Membership Director,
Brother Paolo at 780-433-7282. Our quota as assigned by Supreme is 24 new
members, so we have a long way to go to achieve that goal. We need members at
all Church entrances, to approach men, to invite them to join our Order. Brother Paolo, Brother Wally, State
Membership Director Brother Brad Cody and I will be there, but we can use more
volunteers.
Don't forget following 7:00
pm Mass on Friday, March 23rd, Knights of Columbus will be
conducting the Way of the Cross. Please attend with your families.
