Greetings Brothers Knights,Brother Knights November is the month to remember and pray for our departed brother knights, family members and friends. So keep them in your prayers and memories.
While October was a month to celebrate Thanksgiving, it was also a month of giving for the Father Bonner Council. I was fortunate enough to attend and present a cheque for $320 to the grade four students at St. Augustine's school to purchase bibles for in-school use. This was at the request of Assistant Principal Kyle Porter from St. Albert for this school in our parish area. It is moments like this that reminds a Brother of the reason for being a Knight. Please keep these children in your prayers as well.
We are delighted to welcome and congratulate these five new Brothers to Father Bonner Council: Brothers – Jaya Rajan Jesurajan Maryleela Assistant Pastor at St. Thomas More, David Maldonado, Jayantha Wickrama, Andrew Baron, Darrell Morris, James Lemiski and Juanito Serrano Congratulations to four Brothers: Norry Lee, Joe Englman, Adam Nguyen, and Blaine Denson, on completing their 2nd and 3rd degrees. Thank you to Council membership director Brother Paolo Fest-Bianchet and as well to the 1st Degree team for a job well done.
Brother Knights, there are several opportunities available for you to volunteer your time for a good cause and develop great friendships while supporting the work of your Council. The following volunteer positions are available: Community Director and Assistant Community Director, Council Assistant Director, Family Director, Youth Director, and Assistant Membership Director. Please consider supporting the Father Bonner Knights of Columbus Council in this way. Contact me if you are interested in any of these worthy positions or want to know more about them.
It is that time again for the Charity Appeal Raffle tickets to be sold. Last year Father Bonner Council sold the most tickets so we have a reputation to uphold. Let's keep the momentum going. Please contact Brother Al Girard for tickets and/or to assist in selling in the malls.
In closing, I would like to thank all Brother Knights, their wives, and families for the support and time given to continue to make our Council as great as it is.
