Greetings Brothers,
November is the month when we take a moment to remember not only the Veterans but our Brother Knight’s who have passed on. On November 18th there will be a Memorial Mass to honor those Brothers at St. Thomas More Parish at 7:00pm. Let us remember “Charity Begins at Home.”
I would like to welcome our new Brother Knights who have received the honor of the 1st Degree; Brothers Cameron Agnew, Ernest Reimer, Kelly Fletcher, Dr. Kurian Joseph, Paul Hobbs and Benjamin Nakashima as well; welcome to Brother Paul Givens who transferred from Colorado and to re-instated Brother Glen Kraus. Once again our Membership team is doing a great job.
Father Bonner once again is privileged to have a Financial Benefits Advisor as a Council member. Brother Jeff Magel was introduced at the last Chapter meeting and was present at our last Council meeting in October. Brother Jeff is available to answer all your insurance and retirement questions, and you may contact him at 780-462-3966 or at jeff.magel@kofc.org.
Congratulations to Brother’s Arnold Lorenz, Al Girard, Klaus Klein, Real Demers and all the other volunteers for another great event. The Oktobertfest supper once again was a great success. The next event that is coming up is the Seniors Social that will be held in the Parish Hall on December 6th, to attend or volunteer Contact Brother Arnoldat 780-988-5634 or at ahlorenz@telus.net.
Welcome back to Brother Real Demers and his wife Blandine. I somehow knew we couldn’t keep you two out of the kitchen. It is nice to see you back.
Next month the annual Christmas Hamper delivery will take place. This is a great opportunity for us to call upon a new Brother Knight and get them involved in a worthy event. The date and times will be provided at the next Council meeting.
At the last meeting Brother Lou Normand reported that the RCIA program is looking for some Brother Knights to volunteer to be a sponsor. For more information on this worthy program contact Brother Lou at780-434-9640 or at lounormand@shaw.ca.

When we hear the words help-out or volunteer, we usually associate them with a big time commitment. In today’s busy lifestyle it is not uncommon that we find ourselves wondering how it is possible to find the time to help-out or to volunteer. We must remember that just like the Canada Geese, it is harder to fly alone, but as a flock they share the effort that is required to succeed. The commitment that you make might be as simple as making a few phone calls or selling some tickets; it is the combined effort of many tasks that makes the Program or Event a success. That is why it is said the more hands the smaller the task.
Hope to see you at the next meeting.
God Bless
Rob Liber
