Greetings Brothers,

To start off, I want to congratulate Brothers Mitch de la salle, Ken Schwartz and James Wilson and all the volunteers for putting on another great event. The Annual Father Bonner Charity Golf Tournament once again was a great success. With all their hard work the managed to raise over $25,000.00 for the Guatemala project.

The weekend of October 11^th & 12^th our council will be holding our Fall Membership Drive after all the masses. If you know of a Catholic Gentlemen who is not already a Knight, I encourage you to invite him to join our Worthy organization, in addition I know that Brother Noel Day will need some assistance after the masses, if you are available to approach these potential candidates please contact Brother Noel at 780-430-6705.

The following weekend Our Council will be hosting a 1^st Degree in the Parish Hall on Sunday October 19^th from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. I encourage you to attend to show the candidates that we support them in joining our ranks.

Our Community Program will host their first event on October 18^th with Oktoberfest. Brothers Al Girard, Arnold Lorenz, Klaus Klein and Real Demers put on a great event last year, with great food, music and fine beer. To purchase tickets or volunteer contact Bros. Now that fall is upon us and winter is just around the corner, let us remember the less fortunate, Brother Ken Vincent will be looking for donations to the Marian Center of gently used clothing and toiletries for these people. Brother Ken will also be looking for volunteers for the first visit this Columbian Year on November 22nd, if you are able to participate contact Bro. Ken at 780-434-7059 or at kenvincent@shaw.ca . 

At the last Council meeting I asked the Brothers present to give some thought into what kind of events we could have that would be a fun activity for the Council, because our regular meetings shouldn’t be all about business. If you have an idea let me know, thank you.

October Events: 

• Oct. 18^th : Oktoberfest in the Parish Hall.
• Oct 11^th – 12^th : Membership drive.
• Oct 13^th : Thanks Giving
• Oct 15^th : Information hour for potential candidates in the Chapter Room 7:30pm-9:00pm.
• Oct 19^th : 1^st Degree in the Parish hall 2:00pm-4:30pm.
• Oct 19^th: Knight’s Mass at 8:30 am.
• Oct 26^th : Pancake Breakfast.
