Welcome back Brothers,

 

I trust that you and your family have had a great summer.

 

With this being my last year as Grand Knight my commitment to the Council and the Executive will be do my upmost to fulfill my duties as required and as I promised last year I will still be active in the Council and it’s Programs.

 

I am pleased to announce the 2008 -2009 Executive will be: Rob Liber - Grand Knight ; Steve Hughes – Deputy Grand Knight ; Lou Norman – Chancellor ; Financial Secretary – Jason Kalapurakal ; Al Girard – Warden ; Tom Spiller – Treasurer ; Anthony Allen – Recorder ; John Hogan – Advocate ; Charlie Chu - Inside Guard ; Jim Wenger - Outside Guard ; Ray Moschuk - Trustee (3rd year) ; Jack Clements – Trustee (2nd year) ; John McGhee – Trustee (1st year).

 

Once again our Council will have the privilege with having Father Sylvain as our Chaplain. For those of you who missed the Award’s Night BBQ, Father agreed to be auctioned off with the proceeds going to Pennies for Heaven fund; the high bid was $100.00. Thank you Father, for your continued participation in the Council and our events.

 

Our Council will be hosting two major events this Columbian year. First: the Annual Father Bonner Charity Golf Tournament at Cougar Creek Golf Resort on Sept 12. Brothers Ken Schwartz, James Wilson and Mitch de la Salle have been working diligently on this over the past few months. Second: The State Curling Bonspiel on March 13, 14, 15/2009 at the Saville Centre. Let’s show our support to these events by either volunteering or participating.
