Artist's conception of new St. Joseph Seminary chapel, created by Cohos Evamy Integratedesign
The old home of St. Joseph Seminary has been demolished and the new home is under construction. As many of you are aware, Archbishop Richard Smith has challenged the Knights of Columbus to raise one million dollars to assist with the construction costs. The “Bell Tower” at the Seminary will be named Knights Tower to recognize our collective gifts. All councils, assemblies and associated groups will be asked to make a pledge over five years. Our Knights of Columbus Foundation has designated the Cornerstone of Faith Campaign (St. Joseph Seminary) as their principal charity over the next five years.
However, the million dollar plateau will only be achieved if individual Brother Knights make donations ($50, $100, $500 etc). Tax receipts will be issued for donations. Every donation counts and will be added to the council total with only the running to totals given to the councils etc.
Please find attached a special designed pledge form for use by Brother Knights and their families.
If you have any questions please call Wally Streit at 780-988-8719 or to leave a message 780-437-4335 or to send an e-mail (IPSD@kofc.ab.ca).
You will be proud when you make a personal gift/pledge and we will be fraternally grateful.
