The Marian Centre (10528 98 street) requires 7 to 9 volunteers to work preparing and serving food on
****If you can help, contact Bro. Ken Vincent (434-7059) or by email at kenvincent@shaw.ca**** Fr. Bonner Council has committed to supply the volunteers for this date, so please consider spending a half-day helping those less fortunate. The day's activities are typically as follows:

Volunteers are to show up at the Marian Centre at 9:30 A.M. This gives the Marian Centre staff opportunity to get the kitchen prepared for the volunteers.

9:30 to 10:30 - the volunteers undertake food preparation and/or other small projects. Marian Centre staff supervises, so no special, or prior experience is necessary.

10:30 to 11:00 - Tea break and spiritual readings.

11:00 to 12:00 - Food preparation continues, volunteers each lunch and pray for those they will be serving.

12:00 to 1:00 - patrons are served lunch.

1:00 to 2:00 - cleanup.

The day is extremely rewarding. Friends and family are welcome to assist as well. If you can help, contact Bro. Ken Vincent (434-7059). This activity can also be credited to student volunteer activities. Also, throughout the year, the Centre requires volunteers on weekdays. If anyone (especially those retired or who have free time during the day) can assist the Marian Centre, please contact Patrick by calling 424-3544.
