Dear Brother Knights of Columbus.
We have been celebrating the Year of Faith which was proclaimed by Benedict XVI last October. We may ask ourselves what we have done with the gift of faith and how we have embodied it. As the Knights of Columbus we are particularly called to grow in faith and bear witness to Christ in our society. All that we are and do must begin in Him and from Him. This is our first and fundamental mission – to come to believe in Jesus and to love Him and our brothers and sisters with all our beings. Only by remaining deeply rooted in Christ, and open to His mercy, can we follow the Lord with fidelity and participate fruitfully in his work. In order to achieve this mission we have to use certain means of sanctification such like Eucharist, regular confession, daily prayer (could be the rosary), reading the Bible and practicing charity. Also we must remain faithful to the teaching of the Church and maintain our solidarity with the Pope and clergy.
I give thanks to God for your faith-filled service at St. Thomas More Parish and wish you to continue your good work with joy and trust in God’s Providence. Please, send my regards to your family members.
